Description
In this design for Deviantart's "Mythical Creatures" Contest, I chose an Oceanid.
Each Oceanid in mythology is a patroness to a particular body of water; sea, river, spring or even cloud. Oceanids are linked with sirens, but for generalizations: they're pretty much sea nymphs.
This particular Oceanid is the protector of the North Pacific ocean; making the coast of North America her playground.
I took her Greek myth background and Westernized her. By giving her piercings, tattoos and bling; she's now properly introduced to the 21st century!~
Who said legends can't live forever?
***Special note:
Black is not an ink color, it's just the t-shirt cloth shining through between the print!~
